  • Instructions:

    TO CHILL:

Place the flexible cold pack in your cooling unit or the freezer compartment of your refrigerator. Initial chilling requires a few hours. Wipe any moisture from the outside of the pack prior to freezing. Keep the packs in the freezer when not in use. Your freezer temperature should be maintained at -17.8ºC or above.

DO NOT store the packs directly on any metal racks as the extreme temperature of cold metal can damage the pack. The flexible cold pack should be stored flat in the freezer, not folded.

TO USE: Remove the chilled flexible cold pack from the cooling unit or freezer. As a safety precaution, always insulate the pack with a cloth or towel, so it does not make direct contact with the skin. Additional towels may be added to reduce the chilling effect. Check the treatment area periodically for adverse reactions.

DO NOT have the patient sit or lie on top of the pack. The flexible cold pack should always be placed on top of the treatment area. The flexible cold pack will stay cold for up to 30 minutes.

TO CLEAN: Clean the pack with a damp cloth only. Never use caustic chemicals such as ammonia or bleach to clean as this could damage the flexible cold pack.

    CAUTION:

Should application become uncomfortable, remove the pack from the skin and wait a moment before reapplying. It is generally recommended that cold therapy should not be used for more than 20 minutes at a time with a 2 hour interval between applications. Do not use over sensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unsupervised use of this product by children, elderly or incapacitated persons may be dangerous. Cold therapy is not recommended for people with circulatory problems, Raynaud’s syndrome or diabetes without consent by your physician. Do not attempt to use the flexible cold pack as a hot pack. This pack is for cold therapy application only.
